Why does the performance of the sewage suction truck deteriorate severely when it reaches the plateau area?

Comments

Many customers' sewage suction trucks usually have large suction power when used in the mainland, and have fast suction speed and very good performance. However, after arriving in the plateau area, the suction power has dropped drastically, and the pollution suction speed has also dropped a lot. In severe cases, even the sewage suction pump cannot operate normally. What caused this?

First of all, the performance of the sewage suction trucks used in plateau areas is affected by two aspects, one is insufficient power, the other is low atmospheric pressure. The following sewage suction truck manufacturers explain these two aspects for everyone

Lack of motivation:
Due to the high altitude and low air pressure in the plateau area, the intake of the sewage suction vehicle's engine is reduced, and the fuel combustion is insufficient, which will directly cause the power of the sewage suction vehicle to decrease and the fuel consumption to increase.
And as the altitude increases, the air pressure gradually decreases, and the air density becomes smaller and smaller, resulting in less and less engine air intake and lower power performance. Every time the altitude increases by 1000m, the atmospheric pressure drops by about 11.5%, and the air density decreases by about 9%, and the truck power will drop by about 10%.

Take the Xigaze area of Tibet as an example. The altitude of Xigaze in Tibet is 4000 meters, the atmospheric pressure is about 55% of the inland, and the air density is about 65% of that of the inland. The same engine has a horsepower of 100 when operating in the inland, and it’s only when operating in Xigaze. With about 60 horsepower left, fuel consumption will increase by about 40%.

Because the power of the sewage suction truck decreases as a whole, the power transmitted to the sewage suction pump will naturally decrease. Insufficient power will directly affect the performance of the vacuum pump, resulting in a decrease in the suction power of the sewage suction truck, slowing the suction speed, and even causing pollution The pump cannot run.

Low atmospheric pressure The reason why the vacuum sewage suction truck can suck sewage is that the air in the sewage suction tank is evacuated by the vacuum pump, forming a pressure difference with the outside world, generating suction. The greater the internal and external pressure difference, the greater the suction. For the sewage suction truck in the Mainland, the outside atmosphere is about a standard atmospheric pressure of 101.33 kPa, the atmospheric pressure in the tank is 1 kPa, and the pressure inside and outside the suction tank is about 100 kPa, then the suction truck can produce a suction of 100 kPa , Which is equivalent to raising the water to a height of 10 meters, the natural suction is large, and the suction speed is also fast. When the sewage suction truck arrives in the Xigaze area, the atmospheric pressure in Xigaze is about 57 kPa, the atmospheric pressure in the tank is 1 kPa, and the pressure inside and outside the suction tank is about 56 kPa, and the sewage suction truck can generate 56 kPa. The suction power is equivalent to raising the water to a height of 5.6 meters, the suction power is greatly reduced, and the suction speed is also slow.

The above two reasons are the main reasons for the performance degradation of the sewage suction truck after it arrives in the plateau area. If your sewage suction truck is going to work in the plateau area, you need to fully consider these two factors. Don't wait for the sewage suction truck to reach the plateau area. Found it won't work.
